land quality indicator (RE-FX)

For estimating the value of agricultural land various factors are measured: the soil texture, soil condition and the geological origin of the soil (parent material). Soil classification numbers are determined as part of this estimation of agricultural land. The soil least suited for crop production receives a soil classification of 7, the best soil is classified as 100. The land quality indicator is determined by adding and subtracting from the soil classification number based on other factors, such as the slope of the land, climate, and economic considerations.
