Standard architecture for communication between the Java EE platform and
heterogeneous non-Java application systems.The architecture defines a range of settings, such as transactions,
security, and connection management. A resource adapter based on the
Java EE Connector Architecture can be developed by any vendor of
application systems, thus implementing the standard interfaces. SAP
offers SAP Java Resource Adapter (SAP JRA) and the BI Java Connectors for this purpose.
